HM126 WOODLANDER™ SAWMILL

PRECISION CUTTING

With the HM126 Woodlander, you can easily mill logs up to 26″ (66cm) in diameter and create live edge boards up to 24” (61cm) in width. The standard track & trailer configuration allows you to cut logs up to 10’ 5” (3.1m) long, but you can upgrade to the Woodlander XL to cut logs up to 16’11” (5.1m) in length. This sawmill can even skim veneers as thin as 1/16″ (2mm). By cutting within 1″ (25mm) of the deck, the HM126 ensures that you maximize your usable board foot output.

EFFICIENT POWER

The HM126 Woodlander is powered by a dependable 9.5hp or 14hp recoil start 4-cycle Kohler petrol engine. The engine boasts a slant cylinder design with a cast iron cylinder bore and overhead valve, which facilitates easy access. Its Quad-Clean 4-stage air filtration system ensures that only clean air enters the engine, maximizing the engine’s power and lifespan. An industrial centrifugal clutch system attached to the engine enables easy gas-and-go operation. The Kohler warranty backs the engine for 3 years.

RIGID TRACK SYSTEM

The HM126 sawmill head moves along a solid 2.5″ x 4″ (63mm x 101mm) “L” channel, which is cross-supported with a robust 3″ x 6″ (76mm x 152mm) rectangular tube. These cross supports ensure that the weight of the log is evenly distributed over a broad bearing surface, preventing indentation marks on the log and adding extra stiffness to the track system. Additionally, the track system features a straightforward adjustable quick-lock log clamp, which holds the log securely while milling. The track system is coupled with the trailer frame, which is built with 1/4” (6mm) thick laser-cut bent side plates and tubular cross supports, providing an extremely rigid chassis. The track supports log lengths of up to 10’ 5” (3.1m), but you can upgrade to the Woodlander XL to cut logs up to 16’11” (5.1m) in length. Note: trailer is not designed to transport logs.

AUTO LOCKING SAWHEAD

The saw head on the HM126 portable sawmill provides highly precise and consistent control. Just push the handle in and rotate it through 16 locking positions to move the saw head up or down. Equipped with an acme lead screw, this system delivers extremely accurate adjustments with an accuracy of 1/64” (0.4mm). Additionally, traditional magnetic log scale rulers are included to help align your cuts with ease.

AUTO LOCKING ADJUSTABLE BLADE GUIDE

The Auto Locking Adjustable Blade Guide on the HM126 sawmill is designed to keep the blade guides close to the wood being cut, minimizing blade wander for more accurate cuts. This premium system utilizes stainless steel v-rollers and a matched machined aluminium arm, providing superior performance compared to traditional adjustable blade guides. The 14HP HM126 model comes standard with this feature, while it can be purchased as an optional accessory for the 9.5HP model.

GAS & GO OPERATION

The throttle handle on the HM126 sawmill engages the engine RPM, saw blade and auto lube system simultaneously, streamlining the process of cutting lumber and reducing the number of steps required by the operator. Additionally, the position of the throttle handle can be adjusted for comfort based on the track height. This system ensures quick and efficient cutting of hardwood in your Australia Forest with minimal operator effort.

RAPIDCHANGE™ BLADE SYSTEM

The Woodland Mills HM126 portable sawmill offers an exclusive feature called the RapidChange™ blade system, which allows for tool-less and quick blade changes. This innovative system also reduces the need for blade tracking adjustments between changes, making the process more efficient. The system utilizes a stack of Belleville washers to act as a shock absorber for the blade, while also providing consistent tension in all temperatures, resulting in less stress on the blades.

THIN KERF BLADES

The HM126 sawmill uses 1.25″ x 144″x 0.042″ (32mm x 3660mm x 1.0mm) hardened tipped blades, which are

available for purchase through Old Talgai. The blade kerf is minimal at just

0.080″ (2mm) to maximize the amount of lumber that can be produced from

each log.
